When I was at school many bad things happened including bullying teachers ignored it , It is a criminal activity and I am not sure I agreee with the boxing gloves attitude 2 wrongs dont make a right . There is a reason why people bully and it is usually quite deep and can include being abused as a child
I think it might be a stretch to label legitimate self-defense as one of two wrongs that don't make a right. And I agree that most likely kids who are bullies out in public are acting out a wrong perpetrated upon them in their home. The point where you and I differ is that denying a victim the opportunity of self-defense is giving the go-ahead to these kids to act out their issues upon other people who had nothing to do with their problem in the first place.
If a bully gets trimmed by one of his victims I don't consider that a wrong, I consider it a life lesson in how the world really works. For every tough guy throwing his imagined weight around out in the world there is a tougher guy just around the next corner.
