Whitney Houston.

How sad for someone so incredibly talented as she. She was much too young. I get angry to see so much talent piss it away on drugs.

As one of her biggest fans, even when she was fighting her "demons", this is just devastating....the music community has lost a great woman even with all of her mistakes. While her marriage may not have been the best thing for her, there are consequences for our actions. That said, 48 is much too young to leave this world, and my sincere prayers go out to her and her family. This is the biggest celebrity loss I have suffered since Michael Jackson's death almost three years ago.

I just read that. Very sad. The article said the cause of death is unknown at this time.

Way too young for her to pass.  :(

Unfortunately her talent went to waste over the past 15 years.

Truly a shame...... but a good chance to reinforce the "your actions in life have consequences" theme with my kids.

What a waste of talent and a life that could have been used to bring good to a lot of people.

Immensely talented, but her ex-husband had terrible effects on her - psychological abuse, started her into drugs...  a real shame.

I've been wondering how their daughter must be feeling now...she's knows how great her mother was and yet has these memories of her addiction and abuse from her father...does she blame her mother and can she forgive him? Complex is life.
