I have a party every year. About 15 or so friends will be over. A lot of good food, plenty of cold beer and the day off on Monday.

Fried chicken is the main food ingredient this year. There will be plenty of homemade goodies to go with the chicken (each guest brings a HOMEMADE dish). My wife and I supply all the dips, chips, the main course, and desserts. Beer is every man (or woman ) for himself (or herself).

Go GIANTS!!!!!

Our home golf course has a Super Bowl Scramble that's always the most attended event on our calendar. It's a 9am shotgun start, so everyone's done by kickoff. Drinks are usually flowing, and it's a big party. I usually don't stick around for all the festivities because (even though I live close), it's not worth the risk to drive home after a day of partying. I'll stick around for a celebratory Anchor Steam, then head home to watch the game.

I'm especially looking forward to this year's event. Besides having a strong team this year, I'm especially proud that my daughter Nicole is playing with us! She's going into high school next year (she's 13), and the girls' golf coach is already taking notice. Her handicap is down to an 18, and routinely hits the driver better than 200 yards. She recently broke 90, and most of the guys I usually play with at my home course (handicaps ranging from +1 to 5) all tell me how impressed they are with her swing....I keep reminding her that the game of golf is a marathon and not a sprint, that improvement will not come overnight. She's starting to get that and is extremely focused on golf, and has set her goal on a college scholarship (in addition to continued straight A's)....Proud dad here!!  :@`

Oh, as far as the Super Bowl goes, I'm cheering for the commercials and Tom Brady having a career ending injury.

Hoping and praying that if I have to work this weekend (I'm on call) that it's Friday or Saturday....If I'm off going to the watering hole to hang out with some drill buddies...

I'll be at a party with some of my college friends. Beer (we're all of age) and Papa Johns pizza will be the features of our party. I'm a Steelers fan, but I'm rotting for the Patriots because of Bill O'Brien. It will help Penn State's recruiting if our new Head Coach wins the Super Bowl as the Offensive Coordinator of the Patriots.

And oh yea, I will be shaving the dome prior to that party! You bet!  O0

The question is...will Chimay make it to the end of the game (I know where to find more).

P.S.  It's Todd's fault.

Like most years, I make sure to go snowboarding on Superbowl Sundays. The slopes are usually pretty empty, and they certainly were this year. Had a great time with my older son (5-1/2, he skis).

And mark...I'm out.  Still a quarter to go, but thinking about that new Bud Platinum.
