I need a cap proctective (from the cold and from the wind) but at the same time capable to ease transpiration.
My scalp should be protected but not sweaty or overheating.
may be worth looking into. i notice wool/cotton/ anything else bother me
I'm satified with it. It keeps the noggin warm. The only bad thing about about knit hats and beanies is that they can be a PITA to put on if you skip a day. Hard pulling it over the sandpaper stubble. But that's only if you skip a day. More than a day, it's fine as the stubble is soft.
Why not order a Sly Bald Guys beanie right from this Forum?

Interesting, I actually find it easier to wear my beanies on my shaving off-day because the stubble keeps it on, while it slips and slides all over a freshly shaven head.
I find Polar Fleece is very warm, light and wicks...."5.11"
