well, as for me, it depends of the light:D
I hadn't got tanned yet, so I'll have to wait for the summer to let the sun touch my dome :d
be who you are, say what you feel, because those who matter don't mind, and those who mind don't matter

If I recall correctly, you are BBC, so you DO have hair.  It's just part of you.  Bleach or hair dye won't help because your new roots will show every day in the original color. Besides you don't want all that chemical on your head daily.

Just enjoy it. Give it a close shave daily.

And you are still pretty young.  Perhaps some day you will be bald by nature and the hair line/thing will go away.

I suspect that I'll always have that. I'm OK with that. Baldness does not run in my family.  At almost 59 ... some say I have a slightly receding hair line.  But any change is so slow that I really can't tell.

Unless you're going bald by MPB you'll always have shadow. However, it's been my experience that we are our own worst critics when it comes to noticing or caring about it.
Life has three aspects: Paradox, Humor, and Change.

Paradox: Life is a mystery; don't waste time figuring it out.
Humor: Keep a sense of humor, especially about yourself. It is a strength beyond all measure
Change: Know that nothing stays the same.

The shadow is there and there is not much you can do to get rid of it.  Key to dealing with it is to de-emphasize the contrast between your bare skin and the shadow's edge.  A tan helps immensely in this regard - either natural from the sun or by using the Jergen's Natural Glow products...which might be tough in a barracks.  If you go with the tanner stick with the Jergns product, there must be other ones out there that work and don't give you an orange cast but the Jergens one is the one many of us have used and had good to great results with.   Another option is to go for SHINE....it also helps to redirect attention from the shadow.  But, as others have said,  we are each our own worstcritic when it comes to the shadow.  Wiht the exception of other sly guys the rest of the world doesn't notice it.

And still another way to handle it....shadow is just a part of the SBC look.
