Example of how the media twists things, but this is too obvious.

They begin by bitching about how expensive this operation is, but really end the article by indicating it is a true money saver.

I had to do this once from San Diego to Long Beach, not very far.  I could have brought my car onboard USS Tarawa LHA-1, but simply shared a ride back with a friend who brought his car.

This seems like one of those cases where the reporter might just have wet himself a little when he "discovered this massive conspiracy" and was sure it would put him in line for a Pulitzer. Then the article gets read by the public, everybody yawns halfway through like I did and turns the page, and he finds out that he just earned a Pull It, Sir!
