Well, I did the "making groceries" run today, we're bbq'ing during the Saint's/49's game this afternoon. I wanted to do leg quarters but didn't see any in the self serve box. So, spotting a butcher loading another section of the self-serve area, I asked him if he had any in the back, and I noticed---even with his cap--that he was a fellow sly guy. So he said he'd check and I gave him the "Nice haircut!" comment. Said he, "I really like my barber" laughed and headed to the back. While he's back there I located some preseasoned leg quarters in the "prepared" section. I was starting to load those, when he returned with the bags of leg quarters from the back. I thanked him but said I'd found some. He asked how much they were, $1.69/lb! He says, "These are 79 cents/lb, cheapest we've had in a long time, and they're just delivered!"
So, I saved money, got fresher goods, just because I dealt with another sly guy!
Anyone else ever gotten superior service because of our hairstyle?
