Shave routine down, now I need color!

So I'm half way through my first 30 days of being sly and I'm loving it. I feel like I finally have my routine down and what products work best for me. Now the next step is to get some color on my dome. Living in NH there isn't too much opportunity to spend outside in the sun and I'm nervous about tanning lotions.
From my search of the site the jergens self tanner seems to be the popular choice. Just curious if that is still the case or if people have found a better option. Thanks as always and here is an updated pic so everybody can see my pale dome!

Ehhh... Don't worry about the color. You look good the way you are now. Let the color happen naturally.

I know how you feel. I had a pretty good tan before I shaved. Now I really look pale on my scalp and the tan lines really show. It's been about 7 months and it's not much better. RD

Leave it alone and let now-and-then exposure to full sun on the dome do its thing. If you live in NH, you can wander around in the daytime without either hat or sunblock (safely) for as much of the late winter and early spring as you can put up with (that is, how much "cold" you can bear). Come the solstice, dome and head will be much the same color. Trust me. Of course, NH does have the black fly problem in late spring/early summer/mid-summer/late summer that makes exposure of so much skin perhaps less than the best idea...

I have been shaving my head for 17 months. I would get in the sun every chance I could not long periods at a time.It had taken a long time to get results I could see.It just didn't seem to bother me as much any more.I still have little tan tan line on my forehead and I could live with it.I think it depends on the persons what works for them. IT my take some time but it will get better.

We have the same problem here in Minnesota. I worked on my tan all summer and fall, so I go to a tanning bed once a week . I only go for 12 minutes, but I have kept some tan.

Keep it natural. It will come eventually.
I am hoping to get some sun on my head this year as this will be the first summer i am completely bald. Always been grade 1 so it does have some colour.
Living in Wales UK we dont get a lot of sun! Rain, we get plenty of!
