Based on your post, the best thing you can do is not to over think it. The more you think about it the more confused you will become. You will need a cap to warm up your shaved head but what is most important is confidence, show off your bald head with pride. Also, enjoy every second of your first head shave moment...best regards.
Good Luck! Just remember, as it has been said many times before....If YOU (and only you) don't like it, you can always grow it back. Also, as I've learned from the other guys since joining, even bald heads need to be washed (not with regular soap or shampoo) Keep us posted and let us know how it went!
Yup. You're feelings are normal. I set a date and then had to push it back a week but the whole time I was looking forward to it. I had wanted to try it for a while and definitely before my hair got so thin people would say something. I thought the whole thing was exciting. I loved the feeling of doing what I decided to do. And, I loved the feel of the bald head. Like they all said, don't over think it. It's really not a big deal to anyone but you. Enjoy it.
Another thing is, I'm feeling pretty nervous about getting on with this. I will be going to the barber's for my first head-shaving. I have a feeling I'll be standing outside the shop, hesitating to go in and feeling nervous. Then maybe I'll be freaking or shaking when the barber's doing the deed? And then if I don't like it after it's done, who knows how I'm going to react... I have huge feeling it's going to look alot different from that virtual headshave I posted up a few days ago.
