Consider all these limiting thoughts are in your head. I domt know what country you live in but I gather it is not the USA ?

Regardless it is good advice to hit the gym, lose weight etc. All that goes with a shaved or buzzed head. I often grow out to an eighth inch or even a quarter inch. I tried everything to stop baldness when I was younger and insecure. Now I ahev grwon up, I am secure, confident and like my baldness and would neevr have long hair again. Progress in life comes from trying something new. You posted here so you must want this input at some level ?

What did we do to cope?  Um, friend, look around this forum.  WE SHAVED OUR HEADS.  And it felt awesome.   :*))  Me personally?  In addition to shaving to reveal my beautiful scalp, I hit the gym, got a tan, and changed my general attitude.  Hair?  Really? It ain't nothing.  Good looking guys are good looking guys whether they're bald or not.  Ugly ones, well . . . hair loss isn't what makes 'em ugly.  I dare you to shave your dome and see if everybody around you doesn't exclaim how great it is (after the initial shock wears off, of course).

I agree with this 100%

Mpalardy: there are not many options when you are going bald: either you decide to shave it, buzz it off or keep the crazy hairs and go with the comb over which is awful.

Going bald sucks but you will learn to accept yourself and be happy if you are confident and positive about it.  You probably did not look good the first time you buzz it but give it a try now and you will get used to it plus you were in highschool the first time you tried it! You are a grown man now, your facial expressions and shape of head changed with age (I use to have a huge head when I was 16 and now that I am 31 it does not look big at all).  Once you are rocking the buzz cut and feel confident about it you can go sly all the way or keep it really short.

Good luck!!

I think there were more issues than just hair loss at play with this guy.

Too bad too. I noticed he was talking about Macho and hair. Seems to me that the most badass guys are the ones that are SLY. I mean, Stone Cold, Goldberg, That 500 lb bouncer at the bar that could rip your head (with that curly, girly hair) right off your head.

Just saying...
