I met with a good friend Friday morning. I had not discussed my upcoming head shave with him, but he came right out and asked, "when are you going to shave your head?" So I told him, January 21st.  He was cool with that.

(This guys head is buzzed to about #1). Yes, we both do computers/geeks.  Seems the computer guys/engineers are more likely to buzz their heads.

When I was overseas last year (and six years before that) many guys just shaved their heads because 1. didn't trust foreign barbers 2. some missions took so long to make it to a barber wasn't guaranteed 3. we had more days with temperatures in triple digits than I care to count and 4. sometimes lines at the AAFE's barbershops were thicker than L.A. rush hour...
