Your bald head is your lucky charm. Hope you keep it. Looks really good on you.

Thanks heaps gang, really appreciate the support and feedback as I've wanted to do this again for ages so hopefully I can fully commit this time!! So far so good though as it's now day two and I'm still on a high and feel liberated!!
There wasn't much regrowth after the awesome barbershop shave so I'm gonna break in the headblade tomorrow which I'm keen for as I never used it previously. I've been watching youtube vids to ensure I'm all set and know how to get the perfect shave so I'm feeling confident.
Today I've been at my local pool with a load of sunblock to try and tan the dome, which I think it will still be awhile yet annoyingly.
I have once again received some great random feedback as my neighbour who is in his 50's and has the horseshoe commented on my 'nice haircut' and was saying how he's wanted to go clean but his wife would never let him. I told him my story about just diving in, which he commended but I don't think I could do too much more to win him over as he seems very set but we'll see what happens haha, feels cool to be a bald ambassador!
Tomorrow will be the real 'test' as I'm heading to a New Year party at my mates so I'm a little nervous but also excited but I think If i can handle a job interview as a sly guy then I can definitely handle a party as a sly guy ;-)

The guy just needs some time on SBG and some buddies/mates to encourage him to become sly. See Doug's story on here. His wife was not crazy about it, but she quickly got used to it and really enjoys it now. Other's say the same

Shaving your head just before an interview takes real balls. Must have been a nice surprise to find the chairman of the interviewing committee was also sly.
Look good.

Lol thanks nuts!! Yeah I don't what came over me, maybe a bit of the adrenaline and anxiousness for the interview but I just figured these people don't know who I'am so whatever! Today I broke in the headblade and found it to be quite relaxing!! It took longer than I would've liked but I was keen to ensure a perfect smooth dome, especially for tonight's 'unveiling'. I'll have to let you know how it goes, plus next week will be the families turn to see the sly me so that will be the real test!!

The OP stated "All the nerves and hesitation seemed to go away along with the hair."
I felt JUST like that, when I did it. I couldn't have said it better.
Great job! All new comers reading the posts should know that quote is gold

Cheers xnewyawka, it's definitely my goal

Thanks also Waiting and Slynito, if what I've written can inspire others then that's awesome!! It's now been two days since my first sly outing and I guess the reactions were what I expected. Some were positive, but none were too negative either. Most people were surprised, but accepting with the reactions including one mate asking if this was permanent whilst another suggesting I should grow my hair back as it looks better, one mate however commended my ballsiness, plus I scored several headrubs which I obliged and must admit I quite liked haha. I feel a lot more comfortable this second time round going sly I must admit, but still feel like im in an adjustment period for sure.
