To be honest, as a young sly guy suffering from MPB, I don't see going sly as a reaction to being mainstream. BUT: I'm not just sly, I feel 'bald' on the inside, too. I didn't go sly because 'I like it', but I did it because the alternative is a horseshoe waiting to happen.
