head and face stubble
« on: December 15, 2011, 03:32:07 PM »
hello everyone. i've been wondering if having gray hair on the head leaves a stubble after you shave it. i'm 21 and i have thick dark hair so it leaves a shadow. i've wanted the mr. clean look for a few years now and i was wondering if my hair were gray, would i get a completely bald head? i would also like to know if the same rule applies to facial hair as well. thanks!

Shadow, not stubble, is less apparent if you have blonde or lighter colored hair.  Gray is rarely totally gray so there is a lessening of the shadow as you get gray, like me, but it's not Mr. Clean usually.  On the other hand, stubble is very apparent at least to me even though gray--it glistens and is very apparent, plus it's a pain in the neck literally  when it catches on a t-shirt for example.  Stubble is bad for that reason alone, IMO, smooth, slick and shiny--my goal.

The stubble will come hours after you , shave smooth. Having dark hair like you I have the shadow even if I shave really smooth. The gray hair may minimize the shadow. Welcome to the brotherhood.

hey iron:  1st of all welcome 2 the sly fraternity.  glad that ya joined us.  unless all of your hair falls out naturally or u do a "laser" treatment (expensive, painful) then the "shadow" will always b your enemy.  as head shavers and face shavers u will always have a shadow regardless of color of hair.
