So day one is Done for me, its now Sunday morning and I'm happy to report that my partner must like the look because he was rubbing my head for some time on the way home tonight in the car.

On a pretty positive not, i've found a shop aptly named "The Shaver Shop" that does very good prices on Fusion and Hydro5 blade packs about $10 cheaper than in the supermarkets. !B@

I think i might have settled on the glasses in the picture but I need to wait a month before i can get them anyway.

Scalp wise, my head is irritated and feels like its a little sunburnt (but isn't) In the past i've tried to do the everyday shaving but it hurt my scalp. I will persist with it and I've challenged myself to the 30 rule. Once I pass it, which I'm sure i can because i love the look and feel, i'll most likely stick with it for good.

My parents have yet to see it but I doubt they'll say anything as i've had a zero buzz cut for over 12-18 months.

What should I do about the razor burn? stick with it daily and see if it comes good, or do it every second day to minimise discomfort?

Great choice, and the glasses look good too!. This time stick it out for the thirty days and you'll see a difference. Make sure to use a good lotion after shaving, it really helps. I suggest Bald Guyz moisture, it's one of the best out there and soothes extremely well. Good luck.   O0

I personally like the rimless glasses.  They are very light weight.  Unless you are rough on glasses, they are nice.

Do you wear the glasses all the time? or just for reading or driving etc?  That sometimes makes a difference in the frame you choose.

I"m getting new glasses shortly, too. Appointment for the exam is on Wednesday.

You are lookin great, my friend.   O0

The dome will eventually toughen up a bit, but it's a good idea to always uses a product like Headlube (glossy or matte).  Several good options out there including the Bald Guyz product which I have also used and like.

I need glasses for everyday use, have shortsighted vision with an astigmatism. Normally I wear contacts and not bother with the glasses but my optometrist says my eyelids are becoming irritated from them and suggests I cut back on wearing them. So on that note I thought how about some new frames since my current semi rimless ones are 5 years old and were chosen before even thinking about being buzzed or sly.

I did a bit of googling and found various pics of bald guys with beards and glasses and noticed a common theme of a bold rim plastic type frame. So I thought id see how they look on me. I won't be able to go ahead with them until Jan anyway.  Plenty of choosing time.

Thanks guys, so far the reactions have been interesting. Mostly none at all, but some who have noticed have not said anything negative. My partner loves to rub my dome which feels great :)

My Mum didn't even say a thing to me about it yesterday which is great news.

Three days down and have been able to shave all three days without much in the way of irritation, thanks to some sage advice on my technique :) My morning routine doesn't appear to be much longer either which is great news. I've found that now that i've done it each day its more of a touch up job than a full shave, i still have to go over the majority of my head but its not shaving a great deal of hair off really.

As I said before, I think it's a great look for you.  As far as the glasses, I like the bold ones in the picture but I think they may be a little over sized for your face (a little wide).  Lots of times they make the same frame with different bridge (distance between the lenses) and eye (width of the lens) sizes.  If you really like that frame, you may want to see if it comes in a smaller eye size.

I personally like the look of full frame glasses on me and don't usually care for rimless or even semi-rimless.  I think the full frame looks good on you too.

Wow mate, you look great SLY!  If I was your partner, I would rub that bald head too.  I love the glasses.  I have some similar.  They look great with my sly look.

Thanks mate, I got told that i look like Moby today LOL. I've found some better frames that look a bit narrower, but I'm still undecided on the thick frame look. I currently have semi rim-less frames that are thin and not obvious at all.

Based upon your profile picture, your semi rimless frames really do blend it. You can't see them!

I would consider the thick (moderately thick) full frame look.  IMO, It gives you a more interesting look.  You have the bald head, the red beard, and a good head shape for rectangular glasses.  Rimless or semi-rimless don't add much interest to me.  I also don't care for them because, when I wear glasses, I prefer a more visible marker of wear the lens ends.  I suggest when you're shopping, take pictures with your phone as you go and look at the pictures.  It may be easier for you to decide what you like and don't like.
