Has anyone tried the Rayzorblade at raysorblade dot com? It appears similar to the HB, except you can shave in two directions. That is why I don't like the HB; I have to keep switching it around in my hand to shave in all the directions hair grows on my head.

I looked at the design of the razor. I can see this thing bringing on a blood bath if I used it. I just don't know if I could keep the pressure equal between the forward and backward strokes. I mean I can cut myself with plastic kindergarten scissors, this thing looks like a disaster waiting to happen on my dome.

The pocket design helps prevent blood baths. Several people have wrote me thinking the same thing because of experiences they have had with the HB and were surprised by their results with the Rayzorblade. As far as the equal pressure going forward and back, the curved handles act as a guide and allow you to slowly learn how to apply pressure in both directions. The Rayzor has a very short learning curve. It just works.

I've only cut myself once and it was while I was making a video and slide the Rayzor horizontally on my head and even then it wasn't a bad cut, just a stupid mistake. The pockets really do protect against cuts. Check out my video on Youtube "shave your head and face in under 4 minutes"

I'm happy with my Headblade, got my routine now.
I don't think I would buy this thing but would try and rate it if it happens that one of these falls into my hands

Well, I bought one. I got through 3 shaves....and it blows the HB out of water. It's closer and waaay more ergonomic. But, as they say, different strokes for different folks.

Waiting, thanks for the positive review. It's hard to get people to change their routines but once they do, I think most will agree with you. The Rayzor is a serious upgrade.

I received my Rayzorblade 3 days ago. I'm really new to head shaving (2 weeks) but I think it's terrific! I used the HeadBlade Sport for several days and was getting areas that looked scrapped...like a layer of skin had been skimmed off. And I was being careful and not putting any pressure on the blade end. None of that has happened with the Rayzorblade. The shave is as close as with HB and today I noticed that I was becoming a bit more confident and was going faster. I still have areas that I need to shave closer but that has been true with several razors that I have tried...including HB. I think that as I accumulate more practice that closeness will improve. I'm loving Rayzorblade!

When my fleet of HB Sports (3) break down...I may just give it a try.
I haven't had to replace any in nearly 5 years. I only have extra for those...oops, forgot to pack it trips...and got a few extra.
