i'm 25. hair receding for a few years to the point that i hate sideshot photos of me. i'm pretty sure i have a bald patch though i guess others see that more than i do - people generally don't take photos of the back of my head!
last night i started thinking about taking the leap and just shaving it all off.
slightly worried that my head where the hair was will be a different colour to my face. how long will that take to change given i'm in scotland and it's winter? will it look ridiculous or will others not really notice that too much?
other than that, am i stupid to go straight to shaving - should i trim first and then shave in a few weeks or just go for it?
could really use a couple of nudges to make me just do it!

Just do it!!!

Sounds like you don't have much left if you were to choose to grow it back...
...chances are you will love going SLY, so why not you? Why not now?

Now is actually a good time to shave everything off. The difference in color won't be as dramatic as it would be when you have your summertime tan.

hey and welcome!
Shave it off!
Don't worry about the diffrence of colors, if it's winter, it means you're not (that) tanned.
You can also try a buzz haircut if you've got doubts.

Go for it. I'm pretty sure that once you've done that first shave you'll be really chuffed with the Sly look. I guess any summer tan on your face will have faded by now, so I doubt if you'll notice any colour difference. Get in a stock of good woolly hats! Sure gets cold up there in the north - Just starting to get a bit chilly down here in the southeast (UK).

Shave, baby, shave.
If you don't like to have your photo taken from certain angles then it is time to take action. You will soon be proud of sporting a bald, shiny dome!

Go for it! In the unlikely event that you don't kick yourself for not doing it sooner, it grows back much faster than you'd think.

Beeing from the north myself, you'll find it tough in the beginning because of the cold, cause even when you wear a wool cap or whatever, you know it is also a bit cold inside especially mornings. I know because i went sly in mid february. What i would suggest is that is to wait til spring to shave it off. But then again if you're ready for it, do it
