Something sure does smell fishy about the deal although he sure did go to a lot of trouble.

Yep, kind of strange...he spent a third of his life 'BSing' on this forum about his likes, dislikes, toys and gadgets. It was his way of having fun I reckon.

I don't think there's anything fishy about it and there is no reason to disbelieve anything that he said on the forum.  I'm as in the dark as the rest of you as to why he suddenly vanished, but I don't think we should read too much into it.  There are any number of reasons why he may have stopped posting.  I hope that he is OK and that he'll check in at some point and let us know that he is.

Yes, despite my jest I am a bit concerned, but also miffed that my e-mails have been unanswered.

It is disconcerting when someone you are in contact with regularly just disappears.

Once there was a Sailor on my second ship that didn't check in for a day.  Everyone made fun of him because he was rather a screw-off...

Little did we know...

...he was getting his ass beat in a Singapore jail.

That was in 1996 and we haven't heard from him since.  It was especially hard to bear since that government was not responsible for feeding him.

I sure hope the Chavster wasn't caught getting his library card punched in, Dubai...that could be troublesome for a bloke.
