Apple (computer, not fruit)
« on: September 20, 2011, 04:01:08 AM »
Would any of you happen to know how I can completely remove a program(me) from an iMac without having to buy software to do it?

I want to delete Firefox from my computer. Its crap.

I've had a good experience with Google Chrome on the mac for what it's worth.
Life has three aspects: Paradox, Humor, and Change.

Paradox: Life is a mystery; don't waste time figuring it out.
Humor: Keep a sense of humor, especially about yourself. It is a strength beyond all measure
Change: Know that nothing stays the same.

I tried that but I didnt like it all that much :( I want to try using Safari, but I'm still trying to figure out how to import all my bookmarks :o

Have you tried Opera? That seems quite good. Basic but good. With Firefox, I keep getting the spinning beach ball of death, and its freaking me out, because the last time I kept getting that, my hard drive crashed a couple of days later.

Firefox for Mac is unfortunately pretty weak. I use Safari and Chrome and they seem rock solid.

For most part simply drag the program icon to trash.  There are programs that will delete some related files in other locations.  One of them is Apptrap - free download.

I have all the browsers that have been mentioned plus more.  I use safari as it syncs with many other apple programs nicely.
