Bath & Body Works
« on: September 25, 2011, 10:39:02 AM »
Have any you tried any of their shaving products?

We dont have B&BW in the UK. They did open 2 or 3 stores (or rather, counters within other stores) here a few years ago but they went out of business. However they've opened some stores in the middle east, and I'm going to Dubai in a few days so when I go in to buy my favourite scent (cucumber & melon eau de toilette :D), I thought I'd buy some of their shaving stuff if its any good?

The only B&BW store near me closed about two years ago.  I never tried their shaving products.

I didn't think cucumbers had a scent.

They have a nice scent when you eat them.  I don't care to shave with them.  If it 'ain't' Barbasol,  I ain't using it.  And I wouldn't eat Barbasol.

Now thats interesting. I never knew that. Thanks! Proraso isnt available at too many places here but its certainly available, so I'll check it out. It'll save some space in my suitcase for other goodies, like Hersheys chocolate and Velveeta :D :D

Why would you even want Hershey's with all the much better chocolate that is right at your fingertips?

Now what did someone mention to me last night? Something about the grass and the colour of it ? ;) Thats part of the reason I sometimes want Hersheys.

Actually, to be frank, I think Hersheys tastes and feels like candle wax, however once in a while, I have a craving for it, plus I'm always happy to swallow something American. And very spookily, when I was out shopping on Saturday, I went into a shop that actually sold Hersheys :o So I bought three bars of it. I ate some last night, and the taste was ok, but it was definitely like chewing candle wax. Even Cadburys chocolate made in America tastes like candle wax, but I suppose thats because Hersheys makes the American version of Cadburys :(

But I agree, chocolate here is generally better. My favourite comes from this company: http://www.hotelchocolat.co.uk/ ...but failing that I'll happily eat Cadbury's or, once in a while, a Milky Way (known better to you guys as Three Musketeers). Dutch chocolate is also very nice, but I'm not too fond of Swiss chocolate.
