Before the bald look I had a long pony tail that was controversial in my private life and also on the job. It was a challenge for me to always try to show people that long hairs were generous, caring, kind and considerate humans. So that's also the challenge when choosing to be bald. Right?
I wear my ponytail on the inside

Wearing certain clothes.
I just like wearing alot of retro-indie type clothes, some folk might say 'Hipster' but I am not. I feel when sly that I look silly in these so when I was sly I'd ditch a lot of my wardrobe for more conservative kashmir jumpers and jeans.
I had a nice brown/military type shirt that I felt I couldn't wear when sly.

Why are so many places overly generous with air conditioning in the summer & now that winter approaches skimpy with the heat ?? Those are the only places I'm uncomfortable !! 😄

I feel unconfortable wearing a hat! all I want is to show my shavedhead everywhere, anyhow!
I don't care of the "wow"'s I get!

I was a little shy about the bald dome when I first shaved, but haven't had a concern about it in years. In fact, the opposite is true; I love being bald and am proud to show the dome off to anyone, anywhere, anytime!

I felt it for the first few days (and this site helped soooooo much! Thanks guys!) and then I've only felt "the oddness" once...
I was in a pub a few months back watching a footy game (that's soccer!
) and I noticed myself in a mirror on the wall and that I was the only bald guy in the pub... first time I'd experience that! (Before I was the only one in the pub with a bald patch and a funny poytail!) ... but I did feel that I stuck out like a sore thumb.
Not really sure why I felt it that night, hasn't happened since...

In the beginning, I only felt uncomfortable when going to my kids school (I didn't want to scare the other kids, but that was more than three years ago) Now, with it being so common, I actually feel more uncomfortable if my head is NOT shaved!

Slightly, very slightly, uncomfortable when I went into a traditional barbershopf for a beard trim--that's it. And, by the way, the barber said he'd do a straight razor shave it I wanted the full treatment, hot towels, massage etc., although he said he couldn't get it any smoother than it was (I shave daily and that was a nice compliment.)

I get uncomfortable around people my age , mid 20's.
Especially if I show up wearing a hat. It's prolly in my head but I sometimes think it'll be such a shock, in a bad way, when i take the hat off. I've had numerous people tell me I look very different with a hat. Which i equate different to mean better.
It makes me angry that something so insignificant as hairloss still has an effect of me sometimes

I would not make this conclusion. I know that I look different with a hat. (see photo). But that does not mean I look better that way. I find that I'll take my had off to show off the bald dome whenever reasonable or possible. Be bald with pride. Not everyone is willing to do this.

I love my bald dome and don't feel uncomfortable showing it off.
I don't wear hats so wherever I go it's visible.
I was a little apprehensive around my wife because she doesn't care for it but she now knows how much I like it and all is well.

Although not yet sly, my family STILL make me feel uncomfortable about having a shaved head (clippers no guard).
When I out and about I feel 100% confident and my girlfriend says it suits me

Know what you mean about the family thing. Spending a few days with my parents. They really should be used the sly look by now. Well they should.
But my Mum calls my shiny bald head 'unnerving'.
