Howdy All- I know I pop in and out.... I will try to be more consistant.
Since I had posted last I was deployed to Iraq. it was quiet.... no worries....
Recently I've been "possessed" again and since a branch of the military declared 1/4" is good to go, I've been keeping it short and when there's longer breaks between drills, I've been shaving it. I found a Floyd's Barbershop (it's a new barbershop chain cross the country) that does heavy duty men's and women's barbering to include straight razor (disposable blade) shaving. I found a guy I went to twice and really enjoyed it. He is very through and it takes 1 1/2 hours for a head shave. I tip him $25.
They don't make me feel uncomfortable and it really is like a day at the spa. Just LOVE it!!
Missed everyone.

Thanks... the urge comes and goes but I seem to be hitting a "don't give a ______ what people think" phase and it's a strong one.
Appreciate the post.

Ok, I will admit that I'm not a big fan of the sly look on ladies (sorry), but it does suit you very, very well.
Welcome back!
Schro
ps...1.5 hrs for a shave? Do they serve you a cocktail (or three) during process?

LOL.. no worries... everyone is welcome to their opinions.
I don't have the "melon" thing going on with my pin head so that's a plus.
My jobs, personality, etc... it just seems to fit and work for me. Plus hubby really likes it so GTG (good to go).
Lord help him if he did serve adult beverages!
He knocks it down to a 1 or zero then does the soap and hot towel thing a few times....
He's a slow scraper and is very meticulous. He uses a few different kinds of lotions/liquids.
I certainly don't rush him and tip very well.
It's like getting a back rub. Very realxing...
Thanks for your post.

It was quiet. I was with a CLB and our main job was to pack up gear after seven years of occupation. Our guys made trips out to the FOBs but no serious hits. Everyone went home.
It was a good group of people and I do not regret volunteering. Interesting experience.
Thanks for asking.

Welcome back Laura. You look great sly.
Also, Thanks for your service. I appreciate it.
I was in the U.S. Army for 3 years from August, 1966 until August, 1969. I spent 1 year in Vietnam. We have already had 2 reunions for our Unit over there. What a great time it was to see people again. SOme I hadn't seen in over 40 years.

Hello and thank you for your service!! How wonderful to have not one but two Reunions! Events like that can be a pain to organize but what a pleasure to attend. Good for you!! It's good to get back to the roots and "touch back" like that.
Have a great summer and thank you for your reply!

You must be a very strong lady with a lot of self confidence to shave your head. Congrats! It suits you very well. What was the reaction of family, friends and people who knew you with hair when they first saw your bald head?
