I have a few friends who could use this site
« on: September 01, 2011, 05:29:12 AM »
I've been sharing about www.slybaldguys.com with a number of friends with thinning hair. It's fun to watch them clip to #3, then #2 then #1.  And I just urge them to continue to zero and then shave.

This site is so supportive.  Not too many shaved heads at work, but that may change :)

Guess I have to put my money were my mouth is.  Been buzzing to zero this week myself.  Only one negative comment from my youngest daughter.  Positive comments from a few others.

Interesting. I was just wondering how to get a co-worker with a wig to check this out. I don't want to make him uncomfortable about it and make him self conscious if he likes the wig. Of course he didn't say a word to me when I walked in sly 2 weeks ago.

Any ideas how to help him out?

If he's intrigued, he'll likely bring up the subject himself...

Here's generally how it goes. They notice that I've gone from #3 to #2 to #1 to nearly bald.  Wow, Dan,  your hair is really short.  Yep, it is.  I do it myself.  And then I get into talking about SBG site, etc.

I wouldn't say anything unless he asked, might insult him. The wig might just be his thing.

Don't think I'd say anything to a guy who sports a wig.  Even if it is ugly, unless I knew him very well, knew that he could take it.

Ok, zetaeffe.  As a pastor friend said when he saw me this week, Dan, you are almost bald. just shave it off!  Just do it NOW.

I'm with Magoo on this. Everybody's got boundaries and it's probably best not to stomp on them unless you've been invited.
