Many moles
« on: August 25, 2011, 07:06:40 AM »
Hi all,

New to the forum. Soon to be new to razor bald. I will introduce myself in the intro topic but I needed to get this up so I can get cracking on it.

Basically, I'm 28 and have been losing my hair since around 18 or so. I used to cop flack here and there about having thin hair but it didn't worry me. Thought I'd always just shave it when it happened. From the back you can't really tell. I don't have a horse shoe and still have hair on top (bar the peaks are creeping up) but it is thin and it's fairly noticeable that I've lost most of my hair so the last year I've just been shaving it on a zero. Loving the look but I want to take it further and lop it all off. Problem is.... moles.

I don't have freckles, etc. I'm of Italian descent so my skin has a natural olive complexion but when I first took it all off, I was amazed at how many moles I had. I just thought it'd be like the rest of my skin but that wasn't the case. None of them are flat enough for a razor to go over. Some even slice off shaving on a zero and I have had a couple turn to red dots because of that. If I went with the razor, I reckon there would be around 20 or so that would bleed so I need some advice.

Should I just go it and let them bleed and they will eventually just get used to it? Do I need to get them all removed first? I don't want to have a head full of scars though.

I'm really excited to take it all off. I just need to know what to do about all these moles.

Thanks all

I simply can't read this without responding IN BIG LETTERS!!!!!!!

AT LEAST POST A PIC SO WE CAN SEE WHAT WE ARE TALKING ABOUT.

THEN AT LEAST GO TO A FAMILY DR. AND ASK HIS OPINION

THIRD, GO TO A DERMATOLOGIST TO ASK HIM TO REMOVE (AT LEAST) THE LARGER ONES.

Ok, maybe a tad dramatic but really, the scalp is VERY vascular to the point where if you shaved into 20 moles, you could very easily lose enough blood to make a difference. I shaved ONE off and it used 1/4 roll of TP.

With this, I would not mess. First step, post a pic, I PROMISE we won't be critical or judgmental AT ALL, we are a family here.  Yeah, if you don't have insurance, having a doctor shave them all off would be expensive, but if you are as molly as you describe, a 1 guard might be for you.  Rather than than  needing a transfusion.

Good luck, and welcome.

I think you should use some kind of ointment which helps in removing moles naturally.
