Question on clipper blade lenghts

Question for clipper shavers.  What do you think would be shorter for an all-over clippershave: the Oster #00000 blade all over or #000 followed by using an edger/trimmer type clipper all over?

I would think the the #ooooo would be the shortest. But why not use a regular razor instead if close is what you want. I find when I use a trimmer with out an adapter I get lots of flakes. If I use #1 or#0.5 no flakes.
