... while watching the Wall Street gurus discussing today's stock market fiasco on TV, that quite a few of them are sporting shaved heads? I saw at least three flash across the screen while I was working out at the gym this afternoon. Just food for thought for those who still think that there's no place for a shaved head in a professional environment.
This guy is frequently on the Fox Business Network and also had a small role in
Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps. He's got a great looking dome:
Also, it seems every shot inside the trading room shows several sly traders.
It's a very common look on Wall Street. In some cases, it's to cover MPB. In other cases, it's a "power" look.
Many may have lost their hair while losing money in the stock market.
Great comment Razor and everyone else. I have noticed the same thing, They all look very distinguished with their bald noggins.
Glad to see that the Stock market is improving today. Friday and yesterday were pretty scary. I decided to stay the course. This could be a good buying opportunity for the right stocks. I exercised a couple of limited trades today.
Good luck on your investments everyone. We will get through this eventually.
Funny how things have changed on Wall St. It is good to see more men have embraced the shaved look, especially when faced with mpb. It wasn't quite that way when I was still living and working back East.
The look of choice back then was the longer, gelled, combed back, power broker style ala Michael Douglas, in the movie Wall Street. Remember these were old school, old guard times, and believe me there were plenty of combovers and fake hair walking around the NYSE floor, lol.
The sly look has become fairly normal in the New York area now, not just in the financial services industry. There are still combovers and such, but far fewer than there used to be. It's also not uncommon to see the sly look on guys who are not showing MPB.
