In my humble opinion she said that because she has gone to some of the cheapest, seediest bars in the Big Apple constantly for the past 10 or so years trying to "hook up" and has been mostly unsuccessful. It's not that she's bad lookin', at least not for someone with her particular handicap. That handicap is her personality.
As it happens the men she covets most are the ones who scrape the dome. The most stimulating encounter she has ever had was with a man with a shaved head and she has sought to re-enact this for years. But, lo and behold, the extremely few times she was able to score it was with some punk with hair like flowing wheat. She has a hunger for sly but sly men constantly turn her down because her attitude is sorely lacking. Since this hurts so badly she needs to cover her pain with an obvious jab at bald men so as not to disclose the real source of her suffering.
I don't know if any of what I wrote is true but it sure sounded good at the time.
