Ok, so I've had this mole on my left temple forever!. Mom wanted me to remove it in high school, but the scalpel scared me away. Never really bothered me, it was about where my hairline (use to be).
Since I've bene shaving it's been in the way. I have been shaving up to it and leaving the tiny bit of stubble there. Today I went for the first time in my life to a dermatologist. he razzed me a bit because I am norwegian and fair skinned and blond about living in AZ for so long without meeting a skin doctor. REALLY great doctor. He said none of my freckles or moles looked cancerous but when I told him how that one got in the way when I shaved, he said "then lets take it off". So I said ok.
OUCH!!!!!! the numbing was the worst part, it's ironic that numbing medication is what hurts. The procedure wasn't that bad, he just shaved it smooth, since the scalp bleeds so easily, he ended up colorizing it and the smell of my own skin buying is NOT a nice sensation.
So I'm sporting a bandaid until tomorrow then it's my choice to keep wearing one. Stay out of the sun, wash with soap and water and add vasoline and let it heal, at the end it will be a barely noticeable freckle.
The hardest thing is I can't shave within an inch of it for a week. LOL.
(you can see the mole in my photo)
