I have to say thanks to Ty, and the support of you wonderful people. Look at my ticker!! - Today at about 11am my time it will be a full month sly. I had many moments this month when I vowed to return to using the blade on the cheeks alone. If it weren't for the 30 day rule, I probably wouldn't have made the decision to stay sly for life.! I really can't describe how much better I feel about myself, all but one (very judgmental) friends love it.
The best advice I can give, besides do the 30 days rule) is DON'T LISTEN TO THE CRITICS WHO THINK THEY KNOW WHATS BEST FOR YOU!! Adhere to my grandma's advice. "the day you don't give a sh*t about what others think is the day you become an adult". She was a wise woman until the day she died, at 107.
For those of you on the fence, GIVE IT THE 30 DAYS!!!!! I can't express enough how much I cherish this site, my new friends here and my new sly self.
I'm s str8 guy but am not too "MACHO" to say I'm a bit sensitive and this site make me happy. If you are a macho man who doesn't get it, oh well.
I was worried I might not be able to stick around this site when I read one of Tylers posts about this being a site to help new sly guy's and guy's with MPB, then I saw other guy's tickers with 2+years on them. Now this gets to stay in my "top sights' on my mac and I still get to OCD check it every hour for new posts.
Which reminds me, it's time to go shave. -
