Lectric Shave
« on: July 09, 2011, 12:05:52 AM »
Has anyone used Williams Lectric Shave prior to shaving?  If so, what kind of results did you get?

I was in a store the other day and some old timer was telling me that he's been shaving with it for as long as he can remember.  He happened to take the last bottle so I wasn't able to try it out.

I used it when i shaved with an electric. Seems to tighten the skin a bit. Haven't used it with a razor though.

I have used it with an electric, as well, but someone in here posted that it has a corrosive quality on the blades. This requires a thorough cleaning with Dawn or another degreaser.

I have some & use it if I'm shaving with my Norelco for shadow removal before going out later in the day. It works ok in removing oil from your skin for a closer shave. I've found that for the closest shave you'll get with an electric your skin needs to be clean and dry with the least amount of body oil possible. So I generally use an electric after I shower and dry off well.
