I commented the other night that I thought that I was going to give my head a rest and shave just every other night for a while due to a little irritation I was developing on the sides of my head. Well, that hasn't happened! I just can't stand not shaving my head daily! The irritation issue has resolved itself since I switched to using Head Slick and Fusion ProGlide Blades. I did nick myself for the first time last night but it was actually on an old raised scar on the back of my neck from a cut I suffered as a kid - doesn't count if it wasn't on the head does it?
I've been shaving at night because a smooth head on a cool, clean pillow is just about as soothing a sensation as you could hope for before drifting off to sleep.
Shortly after I went sly, I ran into a neighbor who is also sly at the local bagel shop. He told me that I was really going to enjoy it and that I'd get addicted to shaving daily to stay smooth. At first, I didn't believe him, but I've discovered that I'm addicted! I look forward to the ritual and most of all, the results.
I shave in the morning so that I feel clean and smooth for most of the work day. A few times, I've done a touch up after work to get back to the great feeling. I'll even put up with a little irritation because nothing beats the looks and feeling of a smooth, shiny dome.

Yes! The pillow effect is often overlooked and underappreciated!
I'll have to give it a try!
I tried the nighttime shave - the pillow effect is great, especially since it's been so hot and humid. Perhaps I'll double my addiction and shave twice a day - smooth dome for work, smooth dome for sleep!
