• So yesterday at 8 AM I met up with a Friend and we went out for breakfast on our motorcycles. Then we took a ride thru the country. At 11 AM we met up with four other Friends on their Bikes and off we all went for the day. We rode a couple hundred miles thru the mountains north of me, stopped at an American Legion for a beer, and then headed back to my house for "cold beer and hotdogs"........... or so the wife said on the phone.
  Well my birthday is next week and I had no idea that, my wife, kids, parents, my Friends that I rode with yesterday, and their wives had all conspired to throw me a surprise party. We pulled into my driveway and went into the house to grab a cold beer on a hot day of riding. SURPRISE!!!! Oh boy........ I knew that they got me.
  
  So the party went on until about midnight..... a lot of cold beers, great food, and good laughs. And before you ask..... all bikes went home early (and the guys came back in cars) and one Bike even stayed in my garage all night, to be picked up some time later this week.
  
  A big thanks to my great wife and kids and all my great Friends for an amazing day!!

• Thanks guys! It was a great day. I'm usually so in tune with what goes on around me that this was a huge effort for my wife to pull off the surprise.
  Aside from the facts that I had a great day riding with great Friends and that I was big time surprised, the greatest gift of the day was that as I sat on my deck surrounded by all these great Friends and Family, I just sat back smiling and sipping on my beer and thinking what a lucky man I am to have such a blessed life.
  
  I've said it before on here but I'll say it again....... for an old City boy that made a lot of mistakes up until my early 30's, I have the greatest Life. Great wife, great kids, great Friends. My life is a testimony to anybody who thinks that they can't change their own life enough to be happy.
