One week and might not stay sly...
« on: June 25, 2011, 11:22:56 AM »
I try to not be vain. As you know I shaved the first time last Saturday, then Monday was #2 - with a HeadBlade. Then I gave it some time off since I wasn't going anywhere. I shaved for the third time today and it went badly. I shaved off a mole I didn't know about on the back of my head. I also have another mole above it, and because of that sort of stopped doing the back. I might try to re-shave later.  Besides that, my wife got some picture of the back of my head. Bad photo's but photo's. I remembered then that my mother told me when I was born I had "a stork bite" which is a birthmark on the back of my neck/skill.  I am trying to decide whether to keep sly or not only because of the mark. Does anyone else have this? What did you do?

You can see the red spot where I shaved off the little mole.

I have a large deep red mark covering my entire right cheek. A minor mark like that wouldn't faze me in the least.

Just wondering... maybe a little sun my take away any contrast...

But truly, it's not such a big thing! It's a slight mark... so what! You're kind of rocking the slyness!

Maybe do the 30 day thing, see how you feel then! It might just take a litle time to get used too...

I know we promote bald here... (which is how it should be! :) ... so I want to give you an unbiased opinion. For me, the mark you have is pretty faint. I don't feel you should let it stop you from being sly... If you want to stay sly, then you stay sly!

I recently had ear surgery and they had to go in behind the ear. Left me with a nice scar behind by ear. My biggest complaint about the whole ordeal was having to shave around the taped up scar for a couple weeks!!  :Xo!  There is almost no head that is perfect and I wouldn't let that mark stop you...my scar sure isn't gonna stop me. Like said before, give it the full 30 days and see how you feel.

I wouldn't worry about the birth mark what soever...

I can't see your moles...but if they protrude enough where you are always slicing them, I would get them checked out and removed if needed as advised by your doctor.  I have another SLY friend who went through the same thing...and continues to be SLY to this day.

Ok, so today it's 2 weeks sly and I am NOT GOING BACK!! I am loving it. To top it off, I got Bald Guyz head wipes in the mail today, they are wonderful!

You all remember how I did my shaving before, I did the fusion first, then second and third the headblade, well, the headblade is wonderful but tonight I did (my friends suggestion) of the Schick Hydro 5. THIS is the closest shave yet. I haven't given up on the HB but the Hydro might get my vote.

I have MS and due to my nerve damage and having a handle works better for me .

I'll let you know how it goes but I'm much better.

Also loving the Head Lube for lotion and those wipes are the best ever. I gotta buy a case in case they stop making them.

Thanks for the encouragement.

Gald to see that you found the tools help you stick with it.
Life has three aspects: Paradox, Humor, and Change.

Paradox: Life is a mystery; don't waste time figuring it out.
Humor: Keep a sense of humor, especially about yourself. It is a strength beyond all measure
Change: Know that nothing stays the same.
