Bosley LaserComb Giveaway
« on: June 30, 2011, 12:31:15 AM »
I got an email from a marketing representative for Bosley regarding a LaserComb that they are giving away.  I'm pretty sure you'll like my response to her.  To read the email and response, go to http://www.slybaldguys.com/serendipity/index.php?/archives/278-Bosley-LaserComb-Giveaway.html

Very cool T. I especially liked the "snake oil" comment.

Bet Rachel's ears are burning--good retort.

Curious, I checked the Bosley price and the price of the same and similar devices on Google--no surprises actually.  Bosley wants $495 for the same or very similar unit and very similar units are available at $320--which is not to say anyone should spend one red cent on them.  What it does indicate is that Bosley is an unethical company feeding itself on insecurities they seek to amplify in guys with mpb and charging top price while they're at it.  I mean, at least Jesse James used a gun!

Nicely done! When I read the post headline I thought YOU were giving away a lasercomb. Pleasantly surprised to the contrary..

Excellent response.

I get junk mail from Bosley all the time.  It goes straight into the recycling bin unopened.  I sometimes wonder if someone signed me up for their mailing list as a joke.

Haha, excellent. When I first read the topic title I thought a laser comb was something akin to laser removal of hair thereby making further shaving unnecessary. Kinda like the laser treatments for hair removal that somebody wrote about in here only you don't have to go outside. Oops!

She's sorry alright, but "updating" the databases isn't the answer, it's getting with the program and quit trying to rip people off.
