Hat Photo's?
« on: June 19, 2011, 07:00:26 PM »
I Love Hats. There, I said it. I have worn hats forever. I love ball caps, but they MUST be fitted or stretch (one size fits all).  I won't wear one that has a strap (velcro, snap or cloth) cap.

I also have three AZ Shady Hat,s www.azshadyhats.com) which are my favorite hats to wear, I have the mesh one for the pool and two suede one's (one black and one brown) for other occasions.

I also have two bandana's but can't seem to make them into a dew rag. I also have an old cowboy hat to wear rarely, I live in AZ, it's kinda a rule you have to have one cowboy hat.

finally I have a wool cap to wear the 2 days of the year it's cold in AZ, LOL.

My question is, I have seen other caps mentioned many places here, What do they look like? also where can I get one? I forget right now what they are called but once I find a thread with one, I will edit or reply to this with the name of it.

Does anyone here have a picture of hats they wear? thanks.

My current favorite is a tan leather ivy cap that I wear while driving my convertible.

I think a bucket hat is kind of a boonie hat with a very short brim. They used to be very popular in the golf community. A beanie, I think, is a short stocking cap that fits very close to the skin all over the dome and does not get a fold at the bottom. Denzel Washington wore one in the movie "Training Day", although I think his was actually a "kufi".
Although I could be wrong on both counts.

"Do-Rag" Dude...... google it. Throw the bandanas away and get some real do-rags. You can find them on line or at your locl motorcycle accessories store. I wear do-rags all the time in the warm weather.

I have a flat top fleece Harley hat that I wear in the winter.

I'm also an avid hat guy, though I'm not as picky when it comes to the type of ballcaps I wear.  My personal favorites are the cloth strap adjustables, because I can fine tune them to fit me perfectly and then "lock it in".  I sometimes run into problems with snap backs, because my head is so big, but I've found over the years that a little bit of electrical tape can take care of that.  Velcro backs are alright, though not preferable.  I do have one "stretch" hat, and I like it, but I only have one.  I also have a straw hat that I wear for special summer events, like the 4th of July and State Tournament appearances, and a small collection of beanies/stocking caps for those long cold Iowa winters.

Here are some of my favorites...

This is perhaps the one hat I wear the most, my John Deere "Tractor Ride" farmer's cap (ignore the goatee, and try not to stare at the hottie too long)

This is my "Special Events" hat, I can't remember where I got it

I found this one buried in my closet a few weeks ago, I haven't decided if I like it on me or not.
