12 days to Sly, and freedom

It's been a long time comin.  But 12 days from now I will be sly.  Thank you to Saintc, Jack21, TheBreeze, and everyone else for their sage advice.  Pictures to come later, big anticipation here now.  Thanks again, guys.

Still with the piece.  And every day that I get closer to shaving, it gets more and more annoying.  What a change it will be.....I am sure not all reactions will be smooth or positive.  But I care a lot less than I originally thought I would.  This is for me.  It's my life, and I would rather be much more real than the person I have been for years.  It will be great......kind of guessing the butterflies will come and attack me when the day comes, but I'll be good to go.

 I'm about to hit my 30 day mark this weekend. I was in the same situation as you a month ago. I was so fed up with the piece, I decided to shave a week earlier than I had planned. What a difference! I had this whole scenario of what everyone would say, how they would react. There are still surprised looks from some. Others I've run into have not seen me in awhile, so I just act like this has been my look for awhile now...you just noticed? I found out that I have much more confidence being ME finally after all these years.

Go for it...You won't regret it. Do it this weekend and don't look back!

Have been sly for 6 days.  FREAKIN AWESOME.  I walked out of the bathroom and my 14 yr old son said "Holy crap, you actually did it".  Mostly positive responses, and my wife is on board.

Going in the ocean and working out have become much more pleasurable.  My dome is white.......covered up for 20 years, so I am desperately trying to even it out without cooking myself.

Return to work next week........seeing colleagues and clients will be nerve racking for a while.  But I can manage it.  Any suggestions for this transition?  Any funny or insightful reponses to questions like "why did you do that?", etc?

Dude...just judging by the smile on your face in the pic.....you don't need to say anything. Anyone close to you will be able to see how happy you are and that should be all it takes.
