Nope never have, but from what I hear it's quite nice.
never had. for the price that they might charge you might get good treatment.
First I'd have to find a barber with a steady hand and significant expertise in the use of a "throat slitter" razor--that's a steep hurdle. Haven't seen one of those in my life, except years ago in Barcelona, Spain--that shave--my face only in those days, lasted for a couple of days before stubble, so I would think it could be a good experience. Anyone want to pay me for going back to see if I can find the guy again?
Nope...but I go to a stylist for my beard now...
I love getting them, but they're expensvid and it's hard to find a barber that really likes to do the job.
I just voted No!
However, on the 17th, as a birthday treat to myself, I have booked in to have one
I've had a couple. they are nice to get for the pampering and hot towels etc. But I never found the shave to be as close to what I can do for myself. that's the only drawback. a little less smooth.
Nah, I'm good man, haha. I'm sure the whole experience and service is nice, but I'm not really planning on anyone ever holding a razor sharp blade anywhere that close to my face or head other than me, call me crazy.

Especially if they're not getting it as smooth as I can on my own.
@ Arty: How was it?
I have had a barber shop face shave a few times and find it quite enjoyable. I don't think I would like a headshave though, many of the fella's who have had it done find that you don't get as close a shave as you can do yourself.
I did the shave at he barbers on Friday as a treat to myself

It was great! I loved it!
They did the thing with the hot towels around my head first, then shaved it... it was a big thing for them as they let the assistant have a bit of a go too! She'd never shaved a head before so was real keen to give it a go. The barber only let her do a few bits as I have some moles on my head, then he took over and did a superb job!
It was £15, so I won't be doing it in there often, but certainly was a decent experience
Now... how do I change my vote from a no to a yes???
Over 40 years ago I went with my grandad to a barber shop that would also give you a shave. I watched him get a regular face shave at the shop with that big open "weapon" the barber was using and it scared the living crap out of me. I swore right then I would never let anyone that close to my face or throat with one of those blades. I don't see me letting it close to my dome either. I think I can do a better job.
