I'm not bald, but pretty close to it. I wanted to try it out, and man, it does have some major pros and cons.
Pros:
It's a neat, more "masculine" look.
Save $$$ on shampoo.
Don't have to worry about you hair catching on fire.
Don't have to worry about getting hair in your food.
Don't have to comb it, don't have to mess with it.
Cons:
When your hair grows just a little bit, it has a deathgrip on fabrics, it's how to towel off, or put a shirt on.
There is no hair to retain your sweat, so it just streams down your face.
Very sensitive, but maybe that's a 1st time thing.
Scars you did not know you had become visible.

You're right on with your pros and cons...though, your head should become less sensitive.

Welcome Random. Don't worry about the scars, once you get some tan on the melon they become less noticable.

I enjoy the sly but, this being my first summer with it, the sweat running into my eyes is a large negative. But I'm learning to deal with it; keep something handy to wipe it, roll a bandanna and tie it around my head when no else is around, avoid heavy labor until October...
