Soon to be sly!!!

 Hi, I am 24 years old from Greece and soon to be "sly"(me and my friends call it skin from skinhead).

 Me and my friends always told each other that if we ever go bald we will shave our head. I begun losing hair 3 years ago and lately it became noticeable. It sounds like my time has come. I am no new to this thing as i am bored of going to the  barber's and i shave my head once a year in the summer and let it grow until the next summer. The only thing that is  going to be different this year is that it will be permanent.

 When I started loosing hair i freaked out at first but i have accepted it after 2 months and i said to myself that i am going to shave my head the first time someone, who didnt know about my problem, noticed my hair loss(my family were lieing about my appearance because they were afraid of my emotions).  This happened today and i started searching the Internet for technics and various infos and i stumbled on this site.


 Hope i get help in the future. See you in the summer.

 P.S. I wanted to do this today but i am gonna do it in the summer as a tradition :P

Good thinking on shaving.
But traditions are meant to be broken.
Just get started now.
When you do it in the Summer the only thing you will think is why you did not do it sooner.

"Summer" in the States begins pretty much with the beginning of the month of June, although "strictly" speaking it's at the summer solstice--June 21.  Is there any reason to wait beyond June 1? Why that's next week!  Get the blade, lather and get free and enjoy.

 When i am saying summer i mean july 1st. And its because i return in my hometown for 1 month and i want to tell my parents in person before doing it. They freaked out  in the past when i shaved my head so i want to talk to them first especially now that its gonna be permanent.

 Personally i like the shadow but i am really lazy to take care of myself daily so i think i am gonna shave and leave it until it gets to 1mm. I hope thats not more than shaving once a week.

Welcome to the forum,  and good decision to take control and shave it down.
You should give it a shot now and just start enjoying it. Since you like the shadow buzz, you can shave it once a week and that should put you right at the 1mm mark.
 
By the time July comes around you'll be a pro.
I think you will be very glad you did it.      O0

Sweet...only studied old school biblical greek (koine) so we didn't learn a lot of colloquial phrases.  anywho...HI! :)

Im also greek not from their bu tmy father is 100%.  Anyways love the heritage think it'd be wise of you to do it now instead of bear the weight of hair.  P.S: Do you greek dance?
