It seems when you're in an argument with someone over something if you're sly, they'll target your dome first.  I've been in debates with folks on many subjects and when they can't come back with a response, they insult my dome.  Some even call me,"recede," boy to drive the STAKE right in.  Also, one thing I'd like to say is that some of a majority of women may not like you,"sly," even if you're taking care of yourself, smart and have an amazing body.  Just telling the truth out there.  That's why I'm on the verge to find that small majority of women who love bald men.  100 percent of the time, It's better that way than try to convince some young babe.  Has this ever happened to you?  Thanks..

what's going on man? i starting headblading my head at age 25. i haven't gotten any, "it makes me look older" comments, although im sure people think it. in my opinion, i think i look younger, as my hairline was running away quite quickly in recent years. most comments i've dealt with have to do with the shine. and usuaully i cant tell if it was a positive or negative comment, but usually the way it's said sounds negative. i could careless tho...i love the look on myself, and more importantly, it suits my active lifestyle 100 times more.

as far as the women, i would have to somewhat disagree. i've found that for every woman who flat out says they would only date a guy with a full head of hair, theres another who loves guys with shaved heads. just keep at it, you'll find a girl who loves the look and likes you for you.

I think people point out your bald head simply because they can't think of anything else and thats the easiest thing to point out. I get alot of bald jokes or, bald name calling. Not necessarily in a bad way though. Saying hey baldy is no different than us saying to a short person hey shorty. It's just that thats the easiest physically feature to point out. I think alot of times in our heads we can see it as negative because we might not like being called than and would prefer our real names or a different nickname, same as a short person might not like being called shorty.  Also I agree with above that while there is alot of people out there that would rather have a full head of hair, theres also alot of people out there who like shaved heads or don't care one way or the other because they like you. Since being bald I've been with one girl who kept nagging me to grow my hair back, I'm guessing it would have ended quickly had I had the balls back than to tell her why I shave my head. So since than I tell people the reason with it. I'm bi so I'm not sure if guys like it more or if I just haven't been with another girl to test the theory. One guy I went out with said he was infatuated with the way I looked bald, and the other one said I looked better with hair, but once I told him why I shave the conversation about it ended there. So I think just keep looking there are people out there.
The reason people find it so hard to be happy is that they always see the Past better than it was,
the Present worse than it is & the future less resolved than it will be.

Remember one thing.......... a lot of people are ignorant, stupid, or both. Don't waste your time worrying about them.... just move along.

As for your comment about only a small protion of women liking SLY men....... I don't  think, I know, that you're wrong. So I very respectfully disagree with you on this one.

Wow I must be living in, what must be, a part of the US where people are particularly nice. We've been in northern WI since '98, been scraping the dome almost that long, and no one has even made reference to it, let alone insulted it. What kinda folks do y'all hang out with that this is even an issue? I mean, I've had heated political debates with some people, religious debates with others, some really sensitive issues. I've had people vociferously attack my stance on a particular topic but no one has ever chosen to get personal with me like that. I have to consider myself lucky.

I have to agree with Mike and buddha on this one.  I have never had anyone insult me by making reference to my bald head.  My experience has been that everyone (men and women) have more respect for me because of my confidence.  I can't count the number of times someone has said "I wish I was brave enough to shave my head..."

I apologize and take that back seeing that it's a fabricated statement, but it just seems the younger women who are around my age bracket don't embrace the sly-look.  Maybe I'm speaking to the wrong women?  Could be...

So far I have not been insulted to my face, but I'm sure that some have made reference to the obvious when they could not come up with something original.
I remember a scene from a Steve Martin move "Roxanne".  He was playing a version of Cyrano de Bergerac, and a guy in a bar called him "Big Nose".  His response was priceless...  I wish I knew how to find and post a link to that scene.
Don't let it get you down.  If you were not bald you would only be making those who want to do something useless like insult you have to think of something else equally pointless.

Go to YouTube and look up Roxanne-20 Something Betters.
Here's a link. I have no idea if I did this correctly.

Thanks buddha!
That's a funny clip from a pretty good 80's movie.

one thing that might solve both of your problems is hitting the gym more, once you're more muscular people will think twice
before insulting you and woman will feel safe with you. i know first hand.

also i find that having a chinstrap makes a shaved head look better cause it emphasizes the jaw

I can tell you that the MAJORITY of women really don't care about a bald head when it comes down to it.  They might pretend they do, but if you are confident and treat them appropriately then they'll see right past it.  The truth is that they have way more insecurities to deal with.  If are really having a hard time with women, read The Game by Neil Strauss.
People are not limited by the circumstance that they are born in. They are limited by the size of their dreams. Show them that their dreams can have no limits and in turn their accomplishments can be limitless.

LOL, that's true.  I do look a bit more intimidating now.  The only people that insult me are skinny idiots and jealous folks.  One guy talked about the shape of my head, because I didn't shave one day and didn't have a goatee at the time.  Should've kicked his arse, but remained calm.  No need to fight over drivel.

Wassup guys !  I agree with this. People DO insult the bald head first--I remember a guy who was sporting a horseshoe look throwing an insult my way over something ( he was a work-friend so not anyone I disliked in any way) --I came back with---"You NEED to shave your head, unless George Costanza is your idol"...he never said anything again.
Shave your head.....free your mind.
