At the start of a long, bald journey
« on: May 22, 2011, 11:38:07 AM »
Hi guys. 23 years old, Australian.

...male.

I've noticed my hairline ever-so-slowly receding and decided to deal with the possibility of being completely bald now rather than later. Right now I'm not really worried about becoming bald but I know it's a lot easier to feel that way with a(n almost) full head of hair. I'm really glad a site like this exists, before today I'd assumed that men just had to deal with this on their own which would be awful. I probably won't be here much while the carpet's up top but I know when (if?) the inevitable happens I'll be frequenting this place quite a bit.
Gotta say, looks like a great bunch of people to go bald with :)

And as a further option, if you're curious and feel like it, you can shave it down and try it out for a while, there are several bald by choice guys here that have full heads of hair--then grow what you have back until nature tells you that there's really not enough hair to keep anymore.  That way when that time comes, you'll know what it feels like to live bald, and free.

Welcome to the forum. Sounds like you are aware of what's to come, but why not give it a go now?

As saint said, there are many here who have chosen to shave smooth. You can work up to it by getting a buzz cut, and then gradually cutting it shorter each time. This gives you time to see if you like the way it looks.
Once you're down to the lowest grades on the clipper, a headshave is very tempting because it's so close.
If you decide you don't want it smooth, you're only a few days out from being back to buzzed. Good luck.

Mate, do buzz down down at least and have some fun with it. You must see many guys buzed and shaved there ?
