Looking at cars
« on: April 16, 2007, 05:47:17 PM »
I don't off road near as much as I used to, gas being what it is, got rid of one jeep, the gooseneck trailer is getting sold.  So I don't need an F350 and the big payment.  Wife has long wanted a Mustang Convertable GT, with the prices the used ones are going for, figured why not sell my truck, get a mid to late 90's 3/4 ton long bed gasser, so I can still haul stuff from the hardware store and tow my jeep a few times.  So we're hunting her a Mustang, I'll probably drive her Santa Fe around for a year or so, then start looking at sport cars.  Right now I have my eye's on the Honda S2000.  They handle nice, quick, and would get loads better gas milage then my F350, with the older truck paid for, I can afford to let it sit unless I need a truck.  Can't be without a truck, tried, PITA to do any home projects without one.

I HATE not havin a pickup for the household chores. SUCKS! Especially when you're used to having one available all the time.

That's why I told the wife, no trading in the truck for her mustang, unless I can have another truck.  Older, cheaper, is fine, I can fix most anything.  What I'd really like is an old 72 Dodge Powerwagon 3/4 ton I used to own about 18 years ago, I knew that truck inside and out.

When we first got married I traded in my truck for her Expedition, and bought a trailer, sucked, never be without a truck again.
