Lurked for a little while and this site and everybody on it has been very helpful. I had always wanted to shave my head but like many others was very worried how I would look, what shape was my head, and any other unsightly thing might be under m hair. While trimming the beard I decided to just go for it, I was instantly hooked. As of now I could not imagine not being bald. I figured it was only hair and if I didn't like it, it grows back.
Thanks again for the great site and the very supportive members!

Hi and welcome.
That moment of decision to actually do the deed is where it all gets stuck - well done for pushing past it. I found it helpful to use the 30 day 'rule' to experiment (with people, products, routine, etc) and see what works best for you.

Exactly!
Fence-sitters take note: there is nothing to lose by trying the 30-day challenge.

I agree about how helpful the site and community is.

I also have to say that I agree that once you make it to the world of SLY, it's hard to imagine going back to the land of FUZZ!

Welcome aboard! Nothing quite like that first swipe down the middle of your head with the clippers and realizing there's no turning back. Although you don't have to shave it smooth, you also realize that you've come this far and might as well do it. Great job!!

That first swipe was "life changing." It was almost a feeling of freedom.
A little about myself 23 years old and bbc. Have not noticed anyone treating me differently or staring at me. Didn't really expect it either though, I have always been very outgoing and talkative with anybody. Only problem so far, all the stubble, within hours I have velcro.

Welcome GTP, good to hear you went ahead with it and found it to be a non-issue. That's how it turns out for most of us, and you end up wishing you'd done it sooner.
As far as the velcro, you can either shave it each day, or give it a few days in between before your next shave.
I find that after about 2-3 days it is softer and not as velcro feeling. It's all a matter of preference. It also depends on the time of year as well. I usually shave daily during the hotter months, and then alternate buzz/ shave in the Winter months. Go with how comfortable you feel, and enjoy it!
