You have three options:
1. dye it
2. shave it
3. put up with the grey
Pick one. None of them may be the perfect solution but c'est la vie.

Get a grip--it's going to be gray, you physically can't tolerate dye--you like the beard--two out of three tell the tale.

So what would happen if people know you were near 40? I mean, is it because you are dating someone who is 25 and you told them you were 30? There are people who go grey in their 20's. As a grey bearded guy, I would say that the best way to look younger with a sly mpb noggin and grey beard is to keep the beard fairly short. Right now I'm growing my beard longer. But if I keep my beard fairly short, I know it takes several years off. When I shaved my beard off, I think I looked like I was near 40 and I am now 50. So there are your options!

Dye is not an effective solution with facial hair, it is coarser, grows at a different rate than head hair and is viewed at a different angle. You can try different brands of coloring but it will not do what you want it to - regardless of what hte ads say.
In terms of finding a dye you can tolerate, look in the phonebook for a really good hair salon. You may have to go to one that sees mainly women or a mixed clientele - if anyone knows of a good hypoallergenic dye they should.
Another option might be plain old Google on natural hair dyes.
You might also try some of the chat forums for people who suffer from skin allergies - don;t know of any but I'm sure they exist and will come up on google.
You can try this route but it's not going to give you a natural looking beard - the roots will be showing in a matter of days andt teh color will be way too uniform.

That depends on how much grey there is to cover up. If the beard is entirely grey, the color might be too uniform. But if the coloring is just applied selectively to the areas that need it, a more natural look might be achieved. Coloring can buy some time until the person is ready to deal with the grey hair.

Not to make light of your feelings -- those are apparently very real to you -- but this baffles me. Why should you care if people know how old you are? Really? How is this a problem?
