Hi everybody. I'm Seth, and new to the site.
I've been contemplating making the switch to completely go sly. I'm worried about head shape/overall look.
this is about as far as I've gone.
I think that I'm comfortable enough with myself to say that I have fairly low self-esteem. (paradox right?) So I'm still weary of making the leap
here is a pic of me.
First of all - welcome to the gang.
Secondly, as a recent convert, we ALL have the same worries about head shape. Read some of the older threads and you will see that it is a constantly recurring issue. It seems to me as if that is just the way our insecurities about taking the plunge manifest themselves.
Eveyone asks the question but very few seem to look inthe mirror after going sly and say "OMG, my head looks like a....." Instead it seems we all hear, from our friends, "Gee it looks great on you - you've got the head shape for it. I've thought about it but my head is the wrong shape...."
What I say is just go for it. If for some reason you don't like the outcome, wear a hat for a few days and it'll quickly look like a short buzz.
From what I see in the picture my guess is sly will look great on you.
If it itches, scratch it. It's only hair and it'll grow back faster than you realize.
welcome and take your hair shorter and shorter until you make a final decision. I dont think your head shape will affect the outcome.
Welcome to the forum, Seth. I think most of us had the same initial concerns that you have expressed. Then realized, once we had taken the plunge, how unfounded our concerns were.
You'll look and feel great when you finally "do the deed." Guaranteed. And I wouldn't mind betting your self-esteem skyrockets!!
Your hair is buzzed pretty short already in that photo. I'm not sure what length it is, but in general it takes a week to grow out from razor shaved to a#1 length, two weeks to grow out to #2. In other words, it will grow back very quickly if you don't like it, so why not give it a try?
Welcome to the site Seth. Listen to the other guys for they know what you are going through. Good luck on your decision!
