Hope it's wasn't a "nasty" one. Good that it's gone and being checked.

That's unusual to have major discomfort at the site of a biopsy. Is it inflamed? If so I'd contact the Doctor pronto, could be an infection, otherwise I'd still contact him/her first thing Monday. I've had lots of skin cancers and chunks taken for testing

and don't remember major discomfort. Sounds like you need to keep a close eye on it until the Doc takes a look.

Saint is right, call to the doc is likelya good idea. Though being on your back it's likely in a spot that is tough to avoid hitting/laying on/moving/etc. One thing about the spots I had on my scalp I only had to think about them when I shaved - other than that not alot of traffic in that area.

My neck was certainly sore for a while - better when the stitches came out. Did walk around with a stiff neck for a while. I think the worst bit was waiting for the results of the biopsy.
Keeping fingers crossed and saying a prayer for a good result from your biopsy.

When they cut out moles they can go pretty deep. My wife had one done and it hurt for awhile. Now adays they biopsy almost every thing they remove.

Well if you grit your teeth and bare it; it could wear on your teeth. In the old day's they'd bite on a bullet; not knowing about the evils of lead poisoning.
If you can't at least cover it with a bandage, I suggest medicinal amounts of a good strong alcohol taken orally, until it heals up a bit or the pain goes away. I know this is old school thinking, but it still works

I like your line of thinking. An infusion of alcohol might just be the answer

Shame I'm night shift again tonight
