I am a woman and have a shaved head. I do find it interesting that many women act like a shaved is soemthing very exotic and exciting, but they would never try it. Usually I keep my hair very short or quite shaved, and the response has always been shocked, yet positive. I am proud to be a straight, cute, female with NO hair to bind me to a "perfect society." BTW, I am new  here!

peace and hugs,
Kady

Thats right sister  8)....People assumed that i wasn't straight when i shaved my head..seriously  ??? ..nothing wrong with being straight and shaved  8)

be who you are, say what you feel, because those who matter don't mind, and those who mind don't matter

Hello there! :}
You have just mentioned the very thing what keeps me away from getting my head shaved. I know I am a coward... (I have a passion for army-style clothing and this by itself raises questions about my possible sexual orientation and political views.)

How it feels for you, at work/school?

Hello :)! Don't let what i said get you discouraged....its natural for people to get those reactions but i just brush it off and tell them i don't need hair to define who i am :)...I am currently in my final year in undergrad..at college people do stare but i've also had SO many people come up to me and tell me how cool i look ..i've also had people who i've known all through college barely regonize me lol  ..although i know people do question my sexuality don't let that phase you , nobody can bring you down without your premission.  8)

Women with shaved heads is just not my thing. But i do not find it ugly by any means.
Bald is the new black!
