Does being bald affect chances of getting a job?
« on: January 30, 2011, 09:12:26 AM »
I was wondering this. I don't know why, but do you think an employer would not want to hire a bald guy, for whatever reason? Or maybe a bald guy would stand out more and be more memorable after an interview, if he performed well with the interview questions.

Can anyone here share their experiences with getting a job when their interviewer saw them bald?

I got one, frankly the follicle style is a non-issue.  What matters is experience and knowledge of subject matter, ability to express yourself clearly, and dressing appropriately for the position.  Hair, or the lack thereof isn't an issue, really.

It sure does  - -I hire bald guys whenver one applies for a job

Bald guys make a nice clean neat appearance  - -and that is what I need in my business (working with the public)

I have several bald guys working for me now
