hello, new member here

Hi guys, came across your website whilst recovering from back op. Shaved yesterday but couldn't part with all of my beard so kept goatee. Have really enjoyed reading posts on here and look forward to being part of community. BTW wife not a fan of goatee but I like it. Anyone else got an opinion on it? Oh and wanted to ask, sorry to be dense but does sly stand for anything? Why sly? Happy new year to you all. Hang loose zed

Welcome to the forum, Zed! The goat looks great. The creator of the site, Tyler, defines Sly the following way: When I created the site, I was looking for an adjective to put in-front of "Bald Guys" that made us stand out.  I liked the meaning of "sly" being that we "are wise in practical affairs," "clever," and "roguish."

I am obviously biased, but I think your goatee looks great.

Thanks for the comments guys and for the sly definition. Have moderately trimmed goatee as in new pic. I find if I try to bring in the sides it all goes pear shaped and wonky so will stop at this for now. This seems like a great and supportive community and I am glad to be a member.
