Just For Men - Mustache & Beard
« on: December 29, 2010, 05:14:10 PM »
I just bought some Just For Men - Mustache & Beard...

I got sick of tweezing the grey out as it lead to a "problem area" on the goatee...

Has anyone else used this?  Any advice with this product?

I had a really bad skin reaction after just a few weeks--taught me to live w/ the gray. :XX

We shall see...I will look out for that and continue to wash up good after the "5 minutes"...although next time I may let it sit a little longer.

I like how it looks so far...

My partner uses it -- I obviously do not.

The trick is to only leave it in long enough to add the color without making each and every beard hair the exact same color. If there isn't a natural mix of many colors in your beard (or hair for that matter, but that's moot here) it looks obviously fake and colored.

Arnie, I read on another thread that you should put it on with an eye brow brush or similar small device to ensure that it only goes on where you want it.  Did you have any challenges with the application?  I'm tempted to try it (only tempted).  8)

I grew a beard for fun in preparation for going sly.  I ended up really liking the beard, but hated the white hairs so I used Just For Men.  I got really good results considering it is very quick and relatively inexpensive.  If you get the details right, it can look very natural.  You may have to experiment a little to match the right color.  Also, careful about leaving it on longer than the prescribed time.  As they say on the packaging, this will not make it last longer but rather make it darker than advertised.  Maybe if you feel like you need to keep it on longer than a minute or two over the prescribed time, you actually just need a darker color?

I could get several uses out of what is inside one package and needed to do it once a week to keep the gray mostly out.  I think it is a pretty decent product.

So far so good...I think it came out great!!!  It looks like those few whiskers I was worried about blended in fine and I held it to a strict 5 minutes.

The brush worked fine for me...if you need a smaller area, the brush is easy to control and for what you need to do...

I was worried about the look because I didn't want to look like that San Fransisco Giants pitcher/closer...

Are you sure about the purple?  How about violet instead!  ;)  And while you're at it, add a touch of canary yellow to accent it!  {OMG- get real} Forgive me.  I know it's "fun".  I've just never gone there for more than a split second (on the wild side).  Now it's just a fleeting memory... my wasted youth  :/O
